The past does not repeat itself, but it rhymes.

Some say that a knowledge of history is irrelevant.  After all, thanks to libraries and the internet, it’s easy to look up historical facts on demand.  Why waste time studying history when math, science, and technology lead to more lucrative careers?

I’m an engineer.  But I believe that without an understanding of history—not just “facts,” but ideas, ideologies, and interconnections—it’s impossible to understand the world around us and where it is going.  Those ignorant of history will be deer in the headlights of time, and no career can save them.

This blog is dedicated to learning the lessons of the past, in order to support the cause of liberty and promote the destruction of tyranny.
